There shouldn’t be any doubt on whether phones with wireless charging impact how people use smartphones in this day and age, because they do. In fact, it is rare for a next-generation phone to NOT incorporate wireless charging technologies, either PMA or Qi depending on what tickles the manufacturers’ fancy.
It does seem, however, that the Qi standard is by far the most popular choice of reputable phone manufacturers and for good reasons. For starters, Qi charging is a lot faster than PMA and it doesn’t heat up the battery as much as PMA does. Not just that but they also enjoy a more responsive and consistent pairing between the charger and the phone.

This places them in a class of their own as far as wireless charging goes, not to mention that they can somehow do this while boasting a massive 5,000 mAh battery.
It’s also worth noting that Samsung is fully committed to equipping all their devices with Qi-charging capabilities. This can be observed with their Galaxy Note series that incorporates a rather fast Qi-charging module, which is a clear sign that they are committed to the technology wholeheartedly.
Apple iPhone 12 series
In a similar vein to Samsung, Apple is also keen on building Qi-ready devices it seems, even though they usually pair these devices with their own proprietary chargers.
That aside, phones from theiPhone 12 series are perfect for a home setup with an under table qi charger at the ready on account of their compact size.
On top of all that, Apple doesn’t usually skimp on quality components, even if all that comes at a steep price. Among them, the A14 Bionic chip that you can find under the hood of all the devices in the 12th series, a dual-camera setup with a third lens, and plenty of storage and memory for good measure.
Google Pixel 5+ series
You can expect Google to lean heavily in favor of wireless charging technologies because they’ve been among the first to adopt it. When we look at the Pixel 5 series, we see that every phone incorporates a capable Qi-charging module along with an impressive battery to go with it.
To be more precise, the Pixel 5 comes with a powerful 4,080 mAh cell, which is far superior to previous iterations of the Pixel series.
We can expect this trend to continuegiven the popularity of under table qi chargers and how widespread they are at this point in time.
Furthermore, Google has clearly manifested an intention to continue on the wireless charging route with next-generation Pixel phones, so an investment in a wireless charger makes perfect sense long-term.
Not just that but the phones themselves are pretty good all things considered, at least when compared with other phones in their price range.
